There are many reasons people like them--among them, it's the Tomoe River paper that is used to make the planner.

We've curated some special editions and have focused on the Weeks series because we find them to be the perfect size for all kind of approach to journaling, planning, memory keeping, and so on.

Hunter & the Scholar

About Us

Hunter & the Scholar is a thoughtfully curated stationery shop carrying Korean, Japanese, and in-house designed stationery.

Hunter & the Scholar was born out of a desire to help individuals, including students and recent graduates, in navigating their daily lives with joy, creativity, and a sense of fulfillment that extends beyond deadlines and a solely utilitarian approach to school, work, and life.

Deadlines and calendar notifications are great to keep us on track, but what about everything else? There's so much more to learning, working, and living than deadlines and outcomes.

When we started searching for tools to suggest as creative avenues for students and recent graduates, we knew that stationery from Korea and Japan would be up for the task. They approach design as well as navigating time differently than what seemed readily available elsewhere.

Hunter & the Scholar is committed to constructing a space with accessible tools that is open to students, recent graduates, and anyone who needs it to build their lofi days.

Lofi Days

You may be wondering why we keep referring to building your "lofi days"!

You may have heard of "lofi music"; it's the type of music that embraces the imperfections becoming part of the music's charm. It's perfectly imperfect.

Leaning into this notion, we encourage everyone to start embracing the imperfections in our everyday life to build one that we can appreciate in all its imperfect perfections.

Whether it's about creating the most aesthetic planner, journal, or diary to one that "just" works, approaching these and other aspects of our lives without the pressures of perfectionism can make everything so much more enjoyable.

Build your lofi days to enjoy your days.
