Shipping policy
Items will be shipped to the address that you have on file with your payment method. Addresses added to the "notes" field of any order will not be honored. Hunter & the Scholar LLC is not responsible for incorrect addresses on orders. Should your order be shipped to the incorrect address, no refunds will be issued.
Some Common Issues to Consider
Due to the current economic climate, packages sent via USPS will sometimes require more time to arrive at their destinations.
Due to some technology-related processes, USPS have had some known issues where it may indicate that it has been delivered but it may be delivered a few days later. Wait at least five additional business days from the time the USPS website states that the package was delivered.
USPS has also had known issues where the shipment may have been delivered to a neighbor near you.
Contact your local USPS office (not the general 1-800 number) and ask for the GPS location of where the package was delivered. If the GPS location is correct but the package is still not found, it may have been stolen. We are unable to provide a free replacement and/or reshipment and USPS will not accept or process claims for shipments that are classified as delivered on the USPS tracking website. In accordance with USPS, a secure place for items to be delivered is a must.
If you believe that it has been stolen, you can file a local police report for mail theft. If you have home or renter's insurance, you may be able to make a claim through your insurance company.
If your package was stolen, we are unable to ship any future orders to the same address from which the package was stolen. Any order made to be shipped to that address will be canceled and refunded immediately.
If it was delivered to your home, check with members of the household to assure that one of them did not pick up the delivered package.
If a package is mailed and returned to us as undeliverable, address unknown or shipped to an old address that was not updated, we will be happy to reship it to you once your address on file is updated and payment is made for the postage to reship.
Carriers will not honor shipping insurance if the package is claimed missing by the buyer but marked delivered by the carrier. It is very important that you track your package and know when to expect delivery to avoid possible theft activity or delivery to the wrong address.
